Bill Belichick NFL football hero or villain?

It seems like everything about Bill Belichick revolves around the New England Patriots, as he has been related to the NFL football team since 1996 when he was picked by Bill Parcells to serve as his assistant coach.

After that single NFL football season, Belichick flew to New York along with Parcells to join the Jets, and spent two years with the “gang green”, from 1997 to 1999. By the year 2000, Bill Belichick took the charge of the Jets when Parcells resigned as head coach, but he felt that the current situation of the NY team was unclear and he wasn’t sure about his direction on the organization, that is why, just after one day in the charge, he resigned by simply writing in a piece of paper “I resign as HC of the NYJ.” And that was it.

So as Pete Carroll got fired from the Patriots, the New England NFL sports team got in touch with the Jets in order to seek Belichick’s services, but since he had just been elevated to head coach, the deal got complicated, and the Pats ended up granting a first-round draft pick in 2000 to New York in exchange for the release of Belichick’s contract.

Since then, Bill Belichick has had a glorious career with New England, he’s won four AFC championships and 3 Super Bowls, plus he’s been named NFL football coach of the year twice and led the Patriots last year on a run of 18 straight NFL football games wins. The only low in his career is the rival teams’ deffensive signals video-taping scandal or “spygate” that ended up costing him $500,000 in fines, which is the largest fine imposed to a coach in NFL pro football history.

Now Bill Belichick will try and get his fourth Super Bowl victory, that is if the Giants or Chargers don’t get in the way…
